Who we are
Suggested text: Our website address is: https://esmt.test.
Comments
Suggested text: When visitors leave a comment on our site, the data entered in the comment form, together with their IP address and browser user agent string, is collected to help us detect spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
Suggested text: If you upload images to the site, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing embedded EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to your site can download and extract location data from such images.
Cookies
Suggested text: If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered the option to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is purely for your convenience, so that you do not have to enter these details again if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set up a number of cookies to save your login information and your screen display preferences. A login cookie lasts for two days and a screen option cookie for one year. If you tick “Remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the post you have just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images or articles). Content embedded from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had gone to that other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools and monitor your interaction with that embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to their website.
Use and sharing of your personal data
Suggested text: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
Suggested text: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For accounts that register on our site (if any), we also store the personal data provided in their profile. All account holders can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
Suggested text: If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request the erasure of the personal data concerning you. This does not cover data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Suggested text: Visitors' comments may be checked using an automated spam detection service.
